Abbey Medieval Festival

Our family enjoy dressing for the Medieval Festival each year and its so good that the grandkids are also into creating their own look. Its always inspiring to be there amongst the cooking, crafts and times of medieval life re-created.

June and winter is here

The grass is starting to turn brown and the sky that special winter blue...
 Long shadows down the hillside...
 Dams are full...

And the house sits still in the early morning light...

Wednesday foodies - pumpkin

Who would have thought pumpkin could be so interesting. Eight different savoury dishes followed by dessert even home made pumpkin icecream...
Enjoying Ann's verandah and the beautiful views...
 Spicy soup...
 Stuffed pumpkin with yogurt...
Pumpkin macaroni...
 Two different pizzas...
 Pumpkin curry...

+ the desserts - we were groaning but in a good way...

Easter holiday

Always great to have family home during the Easter break. Loving playing with Grandad's hand made boats...
 Dressing Smurf as a co-pirate...
Fish and chips in the park...
 Spotting eels, turtles and swans...

Fun on the park play equipment...

And also a trip to the local op shops and coming home with a few 1980's paintings to make us smile. The holiday is almost over and the cool days are coming upon us...

Summer is still hanging on

The days are still very warm but it will soon be time to pack away the swimmers...

The tropical flowers to fade and fall...
The verandah abandoned until next summer...

But while it is hanging on my love for our tropical Queensland grows...
